Homemade Tiramisu’

A classic italian recipe, so easy and tasty, a treat for your weekend and a energising breakfast!
Prep Time 30 minutes

Cuisine Italian
Servings 4 people

  • 400 g Fingers Biscuits
  • 300 ml Coffee (freshly pressed or espresso)
  • 100 g Sugar ( + 1 tbsp for the coffee)
  • 500 g Mascarpone Cheese
  • 4 Eggs
  • Cocoa Powder to spread
  • Chocolate chips to decorate

  • Separate the egg yolks from the white.
  • Beat the whites until they are REALLY firm. Add in the last few minutes 50g of sugar. This is an important step to give to the tiramisu a solid consistency. Put them on the side.
  • Beat the yolks with 50 g of sugar until the colour turns a little bit lighter.
  • Add the mascarpone cheese to the yolks and keep beating.
  • Now add the whites – realy slowly – as you want to keep a firm consistency.
  • Spread a little bit of the mixture in the tin.
  • Now add one tablespoon of sugar in the coffee and dip one by one the fingers biscuits (countil till 2), and position them over the mixture in the tin.
  • Once a layer is finished, pour some more mixture to cover the layer and create another one.
  • Normally 2 layers are enough! Spread everything with cocoa powder and chocolate chips (I prefer dark, but you choose!)
